The recent Solar Decathlon Europe (SDE21/22) Competition event in Wuppertal, Germany, resonates still today. The sixteen intrepid international Decathlete Teams from ten countries are raising the bar as they forge ahead in the sectors of building science, innovation, architecture, engineering and communication. These Teams are walking the talk for a regenerative habitation.
To salute the enormous success of the SDE21/22, we are happy to share the recently published Solar Decathlon Europe 21/22 Source Book, which summarises the results, Team contributions, and cross-analysis of the Competition’s main themes. The book is available for the general public and can be accessed here. The publication was produced through the Building Physics and Technical Services Chair in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Wuppertal: https://www.btga-arch.uni-wuppertal.de/en/
Additionally, a recent paper focusing on the Competition’s energy engineering and solar system integration has been published in ScienceDirect, and can be consulted here.
Enjoy, and stay tuned for updates on the next edition of the Solar Decathlon Europe!
