On November 16, 2018, the International Energy Agency (IEA) Annex 74 is hosting its first open thematic workshop as part of the upcoming Solar Decathlon Middle East. The status and perspectives of Solar Decathlon building simulation and monitoring are central to this workshop.
This one-day workshop will reflect on methods applied for building simulation and monitoring in past and current Solar Decathlons worldwide. SDME18 Teams, jury members, Energy Endeavour Foundation representatives and other external and Annex experts will all participate in this event. Former Decathletes and other experts with Solar Decathlon experience are especially encouraged to take part. The lectures and discussions aim to identify evolutions for future Solar Decathlon editions.
Experts from the Building Science Groups of Wuppertal University and Fraunhofer ISE (Germany), Ghent University (Belgium) and Polytechnic Madrid/ Polytechnic Catalonia (Spain) are organising and guiding the workshop, which will take place at the conference tent of the SDME Solar Hai.
Registration deadline is set for November 10 and can be done by contacting Susanne Hendel (s.hendel@uni-wuppertal.de) mentioning your name, university/team/company, your role and contact details. No fee is required to participate, however, there is a limited number of participants. In other words: don’t hesitate!
See you in Dubai!
